Congratulations to Bryan Cross, Ph.D.

Dec 18th, 2012 | By | Category: Blog Posts

Just over a year ago, we had the pleasure of congratulating Taylor Marshall on earning his doctorate in philosophy. Today, we once again rejoice with a member of Called to Communion on the occasion of his academic accomplishment.

Yesterday, December 17, 2012, Bryan Cross successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, “Alasdair MacIntyre on the Practice of Philosophy,” thus earning his Ph.D. in philosophy from Saint Louis University. Congratulations, Dr. Bryan Cross!

Readers of this website will be well aware of how much Bryan has contributed to our on-going project. Those who know Bryan will know how little he would wish for us to sing his praises. So I won’t belabor the obvious. But on this occasion it is impossible not to express, speaking for myself, the members of CTC, and without a doubt many, many others, our gratitude for all of Bryan’s work on behalf of Christian unity. May God richly bless you, Dr. Cross!

  21. Thanks so much to each of you for your kind words and rejoicing with me. I’m very grateful for the support and solidarity of the Body of Christ. My family especially has been continually encouraging and sacrificial in helping me achieve this goal. I’m more keenly aware of how much others have given to me in helping me reach this point, and therefore of my responsibility for their sake as well, to be a faithful steward of what I’ve been given.

    In the peace of Christ,

    – Bryan

  22. Congratulations Dr. Cross.

Whatever you future plans are, I hope that they include writing even more articles and posts to CTC. To me, CTC is one of the very best of the Catholic apologetics websites, and your contributions are an important reason for why that is so.

    Blessing to you,

  23. Congratulations to you. I hope it opens up new opportunities for you, if nothing else simply by freeing up some time and energy.

  24. You just need a pipe now!
