  1. I apologize if this was answered already, but how do you address the historical errors in maccabees?

  2. Hi MJW (#1),

I apologize if this was answered already, but how do you address the historical errors in maccabees?

Can you provide “chapter and verse” on what errors you are referring to? cheers, Casey

  3. No I can’t. I was at RCIA last night and the priest teaching made the comment that “we know there are historical errors in maccabees.” Coming from a reformed protestant background, that made me cringe. I asked about it and he answered me, but I didn’t really like his answer.

  4. Hi MJW (#3),

It’s hard to know what to say unless given specifics as to what “historical errors” in Maccabees the priest was talking about. What was the priest’s answer to your question regarding your concern with the potential for historical errors in a Biblical text? thanks, Casey
